Always Turning Toward the Light

Standing tall beneath the sky, this sunflower keeps reaching for the light β€” a gentle reminder that we, too, can choose our direction. πŸŒ»πŸ’›

I painted these sunflowers as a reminder to myself:
even when the sky isn’t blue, even when the world feels distant in its colors,
there is always a direction to turn β€” toward the light.

To me, the sunflower is a symbol of steadfastness.
It never hesitates to face the brightness, even when the wind shakes it, even when the soil runs dry.
In this piece, I chose a violet sky as the background, because I wanted to show a different kind of beauty β€” one that grows not from familiarity, but from the courage to stand in uncommon colors.

The two sunflowers here are in silent conversation.
One stands taller, the other lower, yet both gaze toward the same light.
And perhaps that’s how life is β€” we move in different rhythms, but the light we seek is the same.

Through this painting, I want to remind myself:
there is always a reason to turn toward what gives warmth,
even when darkness comes first. πŸŒ»πŸ’œ
