Traces of Myself Between Light and Darkness

This abstract painting presents a strong and expressive combination of black, white, gray, and gold. The white marks, made from handprints, give the artwork a deeply personal touch, turning it into a story about self-traces, the courage to be present, and the light that continues to appear within darkness.

Traces of Myself Between Light and Darkness

I created this painting as a story about the traces of myself. The black, gray, and gold colors feel like a space filled with thoughts, emotions, and things that are not always easy to explain. Within it, there is darkness, movement, and parts that feel intense and full.

The white marks in this painting are traces of my own handprint. To me, they feel like a sign that I am truly present within this artwork. Not only through brushes and colors, but also through the direct touch of myself. The handprint feels like proof that, even in the middle of something dark and uncertain, I still leave a part of myself behind.

Meanwhile, the gold appears like a small light between black and white. It gives a feeling of hope, strength, and something that continues to shine even when surrounded by shadows.

This artwork tells a story about presence, traces, and light. It is about how someone can still leave a mark of themselves, even within complicated feelings. Sometimes life feels chaotic, but there is always a trace that reminds us that we once stood there, felt deeply, and endured.
