Where the Soul Rests

The river flows with grace, the mountain stands in silence — two contrasts that share the same calm.

Where the Soul Rests

I painted this piece at a time when I felt the need to be still.
Nature has always been the most honest place to calm my mind.
The distant mountain, the wide stretch of green, and the river flowing slowly — they all remind me that life has its own rhythm, and not everything needs to be chased in haste.

I added real dried branches to this work because I wanted to bring a touch of the real world onto the canvas — as if nature wasn’t just being painted, but truly present before me, inviting me to breathe with it.

Through this painting, I learned that peace doesn’t come from silence itself, but from a heart willing to listen.
Nature teaches me to pause, to look deeper, and to realize that everything around us is already speaking.
We just need to be still — and listen. 🌿
